About
Keisha Chapman
Keisha Chapman is a committed public servant, neighborhood leader, and communications professional running for Mayor of East Point to build a city that truly reflects its people—resilient, diverse, and full of promise.
Since settling in East Point in 2017, Keisha has become deeply rooted in the community. She proudly serves as President of the Williamsburg Area Development Association (WADA) and is a familiar face at city meetings, local markets, and public events. Whether she’s advocating for her neighbors or walking her dog Rumi at the park, Keisha shows up—not for the spotlight, but for the people.
During her service on East Point’s Planning and Zoning Board, Keisha has consistently voted with the community—supporting responsible commercial and residential growth while firmly opposing warehouse developments that disrupt neighborhood character. She has also completed training with the Atlanta Regional Commission for Community Planning, giving her a solid understanding of how to shape policy that’s equitable, forward-thinking, and aligned with East Point’s long-term success.
Professionally, Keisha brings experience in corporate leadership and education—having mentored rising professionals and recently served as a substitute teacher. She’s a proud graduate of Norfolk State University and the University of Texas at Austin, and currently serves as a member of the NSU Atlanta Alumni Chapter.
I’m not running on politics—I’m running for people. I believe leadership means showing up, listening deeply, and making bold but thoughtful decisions. As Mayor, I’ll be committed to being a visible, accountable, and people-first leader who honors the city’s past while boldly moving us forward to its future.
