Moving East Point Forward

Inclusive Economic Growth & Local Innovation Moves East Point Forward

Smart and inclusive economic growth is essential for building a resilient and thriving community. By supporting local businesses, investing in workforce development, and fostering equitable opportunities, my vision is to ensure every resident can share in the city’s prosperity and contribute to its future success.

I am focused on:

  • Support Small Businesses: “East Point Flash Markets” providing free booths and training for small, minority-, and women-owned businesses; “Neighborhood Micro-Fund + Mentors” seeding micro-loans up to $5,000 with mentorship and pitch reviews.
  • Local Employment: “Hire East Point First” requiring city-funded projects to hire at least 25% local residents; quarterly compliance reporting.
  • Business Feedback & Expansion: “Business Review Portal” for residents to rate and review local businesses, informing city ordinances; “Export East Point” supporting local businesses in accessing global markets.
  • Innovation Hubs: “Global-Local Exchange Incubator” for startup exchanges and pitch events; “Tech-forward East Point” co-working spaces and innovation labs in municipal buildings with rotating startup mentors.
