Moving East Point Forward

Safety, Wellness & Housing Stability Moves East Point Forward

Safety—both in our streets and online—is the foundation for a thriving community. True safety means protecting residents from immediate threats, addressing root causes of crime, and building systems which safeguard vulnerable populations. I will focus on quality, proactive, resourceful, and committed stewardship, creating an environment where everyone feels secure and supported both on and offline.

Housing stability and community wellness are vital foundations for a thriving community. I understand housing is a basic fundamental need, which impacts the quality of life for everyone. I will work tirelessly to ensure housing in East Point meets the needs of all citizens.

I am focused on:

  • Public Safety Programs: “SeeClickFix+ Patrol Program” partnering with volunteers and neighborhood watch groups; compile monthly safety data and address hotspots publicly.
  • City Lighting & Cyber Safety: “Illuminate East Point”—audit and upgrade public lighting within 60 days; “Cyber Neighbors Workshops” offering free digital safety and scam-prevention sessions at libraries, community centers, and senior centers.
  • Housing & Health Support: “East Point Housing Trust Fund” for emergency rent assistance, first-time buyer subsidies, and small home repairs; “Wellness on Wheels” mobile health units; “Affordable Homes Collaborative” to build or preserve affordable units with public tracking dashboards.
